Fort Mill's annual Jazz Night in the Park returns Saturday, Sept. 12, with free live music at the amphitheater in Walter Elisha Park.

The Town of Fort Mill announced the event on Sept. 1. Gates open at 6 p.m. and music runs until 9 p.m. at the amphitheater, located at 345 N. White St.

Saxophonist and singer Grace Kelly headlines the evening. Kelly has released 15 albums and served as a member of the house band on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," according to her website. She performed at President Barack Obama's 2009 inauguration at age 16 and has recorded with artists including Wynton Marsalis, Harry Connick Jr. and Jon Batiste.

North Carolina-based Cory Luetjen & the Traveling Blues Band opens the show. The group, a two-time blues challenge winner, performs more than 250 dates a year across the Carolinas, Tennessee and Virginia, according to the band's website.

The town's event calendar confirmed both acts for the Sept. 12 lineup.

Admission is free. Food trucks along with beer and wine were available for purchase at past Jazz Night events, and no outside food, drinks or coolers were permitted, according to a town press release for the 2024 edition.

Bring a chair or blanket. Residents should check FortMillSC.gov/TownEvents for updated 2026 event details, including parking information.

Parking in past years was available at Veterans Park at 106 N. White St., Looms Way, Calhoun Street Park at 203 Calhoun St. and handicapped-accessible spaces at the amphitheater lot.

The 2025 edition on Sept. 5 featured Nathan Angelo and Chi-Town Transit Authority.
